I Am Not Happy with the Consignment RV Largo Lots

Monday, April 16th, 2012

I had my vehicle for sale on the consignment RV Largo, Florida lots for months. The consign RV option did not make me happy. SellMyRVToday.com, on the other hand, did make me happy. What was the difference, and why the drastically different reactions?

When I worked with the consignment RV Largo, Florida lots I knew that the individuals I was working with were doing their jobs. Their job was to sell my RV on consignment. I liked the way they handled my vehicle. I have nothing against them and I wouldn’t even go so far as to say that they were failing in their job duties in any way. They were not.

The fact of the matter is that the use of the consignment RV Largo lots down here in Florida was a bad idea for me. I didn’t have a lot of time on my hands when it came to the sale of my recreational vehicle. I wasn’t desperate either, but wasting time, thought and energy on something such as this was definitely not on my personal agenda. That said, consignment sales do take time.

Needless to say, I did waste time, thought and energy on the project…for 7 months. It almost drove me crazy that my RV was sitting on the consign RV lots here in Florida and no one was buying it. I knew that someone eventually would, but I wanted the entire thing over with.

That’s the point at which I stumbled across SellMyRVToday.com. I am so immensely glad that I found you that I simply don’t allow myself to consider the fact that I should have looked for you sooner. You had my RV sold 3 days after I initially called you to ask questions. I have to say thank you. You have allowed me to retain my sanity for a few more years. I will recommend you highly to any and all who let me in on their plans of selling a recreational vehicle.

RV Consignment Texas and Selling By Owner Aren’t the Only Options

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Have you been a victim of the not-so-effective RV consignment Texas options? To sell RVs on your own or through consignment can be time consuming and annoying. That all changes with SellMyRVToday.com.  Which will you choose?

Erin P. of Dallas chose to avoid RV consignment Texas options. She said, “I almost added my RV to the others on the consignment lot near my house, but luckily, at the last minute, a friend recommended I check out other options online. I almost immediately found SellMyRVToday.com. It saved me a lot of time!”

John G. of Boerne said, “I’ve sold RVs by owner in the past. I sold the vehicles, but it was entirely unpleasant. I did not like the hassle of dealing with all the strangers. I did not like the hassle of showing my vehicle over and over. I hated that my life was overcome by other people’s schedules. Many of them weren’t even serious about purchasing my RV. It was more like window-shopping. The last time I sold an RV, I used SellMyRVToday.com. It avoided the entire hassle of buyers that were not truly interested. I didn’t even have to show the vehicle at all.”

Emma S. of San Antonio said, “It’s not surprising that I used SellMyRVToday.com. My job requires efficiency at almost all costs. I find that the need for efficiency runs into my personal life, too. So when I found out that SellMyRVToday.com would allow me to sell my recreational vehicle within a few days, I jumped right on it.”

At SellMyRVToday.com we continue to buy RVs because that’s what we do. RV owners are going to continue to sell RVs for their own reasons. That’s what they do. Most RVers don’t own one recreational vehicle for life. It’s an ever-evolving process. At one point in your life you’ll decide a travel trailer is the most convenient, and that it works for you. Then you’ll suddenly have a craving for more luxury on the road and it will lead you to consider Class A motorhomes. Or maybe you’ll figure that the versatility of the trailer needs to be combined with luxury in a new fifth wheel. Every RVer’s path of ownership will be different, but the path is going to be riddled with the need to sell RVs. That’s what SellMyRVToday.com is for, so don’t forget that we can make the process a whole lot easier on you.

Big Differences Mean Big Advantages for RV Sellers

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Let’s talk Houston RV consignment. Is it really the best way to sell RVs? Or does SellMyRVToday.com actually have something unique to bring to the table?

Houston RV Consignment:

-    Offers many choices.

-    Is convenient. The numerous choices mean that there’s probably a lot near enough to every RV seller’s location to make it easy to drop in and check on the process of the sale.

-    Generally means less responsibility for the seller when it comes to paperwork. The professionals working on the lot should handle the basic necessary paperwork.

-    Typically means less hassle because sellers don’t have to deal directly with potential buyers.

-    Lends a sense of professionalism and trust to the deal so that buyers are more comfortable with what is actually a major purchase for the majority of American and Canadian households.

SellMyRVToday.com:

-    Skips the need for many choices.

-    Is even more convenient as sellers don’t have to leave the comfort of their own home. They can simply jump online and get the necessary information, let SellMyRVToday.com know they have an RV for sale and the company takes care of the rest.

-    The SellMyRVToday.com process doesn’t just decrease the responsibility for paperwork and annoyance for the sellers, it removes it altogether. We handle all the paperwork, we deliver payment in certified funds and we even pick up the vehicle.

-    We conduct professional transactions. There is no need for you to make the buyer feel comfortable, as we are the buyer and we are pros at it. We are one of the largest RV buyers in the country.  That means that our RV buying rv process has been perfected to the point of being ridiculously meticulous. That’s why most of our purchases are completed (start to finish) within 3 days.

Still think that you might want to go with one of the Houston RV consignment lots? You might not have completely understood what you just read. We recommend you read it again because if you actually ingested the points made in the above bulleted lists, you’ll see that the obvious choice for savvy RV sellers is to get in touch with SellMyRVToday.com immediately.

RV Consignment California Sales Lots – Avoid Getting Lost in the Crowd

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

There are certain regions that can boast a greater density of RVs on the road. Areas that have a higher density of recreational vehicles typically also have a higher density on the RV sales listings. This rule of thumb definitely doesn’t bode well for RV consignment California sales lots. They are crowded, packed, you might even say jammed with vehicles just like yours (and some better and/or cheaper) that you have to compete against in order to get the interest of the random, solitary interested buyers that drop by the sales lot. It doesn’t sound like a great idea because it’s really not.

Most sellers in areas of high RV density assume that they will be able to make a quick sale either by owner or through one of the consignment RV lots simply because so many local people are obviously interested in RV ownership. This seems like an appropriate conclusion until you actually attempt to make the sale. You’ll be surprised how many RV lovers/buyers are interested in your vehicle, but are still “looking.” It’s very rare to find a buyer in a hurry to purchase, and buyers who aren’t in a hurry to purchase shop around. Shopping around in an area like California means there are a LOT of vehicles to check out before deciding on one to buy.

While finding a buyer in a hurry is rare, sellers are often in a hurry to get an RV off their hands. Sometimes it’s because they don’t have anywhere appropriate to store it. Sometimes it’s because of a family emergency. Sometimes it’s because of a financial dilemma that could be alleviated with some instant cash flow. Sometimes it’s just time to make a change, and that change is coming in the form of selling the family recreational vehicle.

If you fear your RV might get lost in the crowd on RV consignment California sales lots, avoid them altogether by calling SellMyRVToday.com. You’ll be glad you did.

Arizona RV Consignment Lots Should Be a Last Resort

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

There are recreational vehicles for sale all over Arizona so I knew that it would be best if I avoided the Arizona RV consignment lots. They were supposedly better than selling by owner, but I just couldn’t see them being the most efficient method of selling my RV. I decided that I could do better and that I would keep the Arizona RV consignment lots on the back burner marked “last resort.”

I went in search of a better method of selling my RV. I was looking for:

1.    A buyer that wasn’t going to be bombarded with so many options that buying mine would be a 1:400 chance.

2.    A method of selling my recreational vehicle to someone who wanted to buy it now…not sometime in the next several months.

3.    A method of selling the RV that wouldn’t mean a huge hassle waiting for the buyer to obtain necessary financing.

4.    A method of selling your RV for a fair market value price without a long list of required cosmetic changes/repairs the buyer requires prior to being willing to buy.

This was the goal. I didn’t think I was asking too much. “For sale by owner” didn’t fit the bill because of the fact that you have to wade through a lot of semi-interested and not really interested buyers in order to find that one buyer that is probably serious. The “for sale by owner” process often takes months. It also poses problems with numbers: 1, 3 and 4. And that covers the full list. So “for sale by owner” was out.

Arizona RV consignment lots were a little better, but not much. They didn’t pose as much of a problem with the financing issues or annoying interactions with the potential buyers, but 1 and 2 were still entirely applicable when throwing the RV onto one of the consignment lots with all the other RVs.

That led me to SellMyRVToday.com. It’s a company that buys recreational vehicles. The professional basis of the buy means that number one isn’t applicable. I wouldn’t be competing against other vehicles because SellMyRVToday.com isn’t trying to buy one RV. They buy RVs, plural. As evident in the name of the company, they want to buy it today. So number two was also covered. They pay in certified funds upon pickup of the vehicle and most transactions are completed within 1 to 3 days. There are no annoying holdups to obtain financing. Number three was also covered. Last, but not least, SellMyRVToday.com buys RVs that are in good shape, 2002 or newer (excluding fifth wheels and travel trailers) for a fair price according to current market values. I had found the winner.
My conclusions were not off base. The sale went smoothly, quickly and I got what I wanted when it came to price. My decision to keep Arizona RV consignment lots as my last option was right on the money. The way I see it isn’t necessarily the way you see it, but…in this instance, if you disagree with me I’m willing to bet you should look again.

What Should I Do If I Want to Sell My RV?

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

What should I do if I want to sell my RV? I really don’t want to spend a lot of money on the vehicle right before I sell it. I have a hard time identifying what is actually necessary and what is just filler to pump up the mechanic’s bill when I take the vehicle in for work. I have always completed the recommended maintenance so I have no reason to believe there are any problems. I was just advised that I should have a full mechanical inspection completed before having it detailed and performing cosmetic repairs. I am supposed to do all of this simply to sell it to the next owner. It just seems like a bit much. Is it really necessary?

-    Janelle, Denver, CO

Janelle’s RVing friend who shared information on what to do to maximize the price you can get for your vehicle was correct in the general sense. Completing any and all needed mechanical repairs, having the RV detailed and completing any visible cosmetic repairs will increase the amount that your vehicle is worth to the general public. If you’re selling the vehicle yourself through local advertisements this could be extremely important. It will also be beneficial if you are going to sell your RV through any of the traditional RV consignment lots in your area.

We, of course, don’t suggest selling RVs by owner and we are not your typical RV consignment lot. With SellMyRVToday.com the regular rules don’t particularly apply. Our entire purpose is to buy RVs. We buy RVs 2002 or newer (with the exception of travel trailers and fifth wheels). We’re in the business of buying RVs. We see RVs for their potential. We know what they’re worth. We do this everyday, and we aren’t going to let an inconsequential cosmetic repair hurt the deal. Major mechanical issues would definitely be a problem, but if you haven’t experienced any and you have made a point to perform necessary maintenance on your RV, there’s no reason to believe your vehicle is in bad shape.

We would appreciate a clean vehicle, but don’t spend hundreds of dollars having it detailed. Most RVers haven’t neglected their RVs to the point where a thorough detail would be necessary. Just sweep it out and clean the general surfaces. We’re all about getting the transaction completed so we aren’t going to insist you complete any unnecessary tasks before we purchase it.

If you still aren’t sure if your RV is ready to sell, give us a call and ask us. Tell us what the dilemma is and we’ll tell you whether or not to worry about it. It can really be that simple.

Have You Ever Tried RV Consignment?

Friday, February 10th, 2012

I recently had a friend ask me, “Have you ever tried RV consignment?” Having had a really great experience ridding myself of my old RV through SellMyRVToday.com I answered in the affirmative. That’s where it all started to go wrong. I guess that I should have mentioned that it was with SellMyRVToday.com. They didn’t know, so they did not go there.  Now their entire RV consignment ordeal is on my shoulders; at least that’s the way they seem to see it. I suppose that selling a recreational vehicle through just any consignment RV shop just isn’t the same as selling through SellMyRVToday.com.

What went wrong, you ask? The easiest thing to do would be to make a list of all the “horrible experiences” my friend and his wife went through as a result of my failing to mention who I dealt with.

1.    They weren’t selling their motorhome because they were sick of RVing, or wanted the option of upgrading/downgrading their recreational vehicle. This was a necessity sale. They needed the cash to put down on a home they found at a fantastic price. They listed their vehicle through RV consignment as per my “recommendation” and it didn’t sell for over 6 months. They didn’t get the cash in time to get the house. This is, of course, entirely my fault because I should have pointed them directly to SellMyRVToday.com so they could have experienced a sale in less than a week like I did.

2.    They didn’t get their original asking price. This wouldn’t have been eligible to add to the list of “horrible experiences” if their original asking price hadn’t been just a tiny bit below market value. Again, responsibility for the decreased amount of funds was placed squarely on my shoulders because I apparently “withheld” the important information that I didn’t use just any RV consignment dealer, but that I used SellMyRVToday.com. I got full market value when I sold my RV and this is simply not fair in the eyes of my buddy (and particularly in the eyes of his wife).

3.    3 months after the sale of the recreational vehicle, another “horrible experience” popped up. Apparently, the title paperwork had not been handled properly. The individual who purchased the vehicle from the lot allegedly went joy riding in a small town and destroyed an entire city block of local signage. He, of course, didn’t stick around to deal with the consequences. Since the title paperwork was not completed properly, the vehicle was traced back to my buddy and his wife. There’s talk of replacement costs and a hearing in some little town in Louisiana. Needless to say, they are ticked…mostly at me.

What have I learned from all of this? I’ve learned that I DO NOT recommend RV consignment dealers. I only recommend SellMyRVToday.com. I’ve also learned that friendships can be…let’s say, strained…by the strangest things. It will blow over eventually, but for now, we’re short one player on poker night.

RV Consignment Texas

Friday, January 27th, 2012

An email came in recently from a SellMyRVToday.com customer who caught our attention with a great quote from Davy Crockett. I loved his outright dedication to the state of Texas. You’ll see what I mean when you read it.

Dear SellMyRVToday.com,

I recently decided to sell my RV. I looked into the RV consignment Texas offered. I figured that I was centrally located enough here in my small town to take advantage of the RV consignment Texas based dealers located out of both Houston and Dallas. I could even handle the drive to Austin or San Antonio if it meant getting a good price on a quick sale.

As Davy Crockett said, “The rest of you can go to hell. I’m going to Texas.” I second the sentiment. I’ve never lived anywhere that was so all-inclusive. I have everything I need here in the Lone Star state. That’s why I figured I would be able to find the consignment RV lot that would handle the sale for me in the area.

Everything is bigger in Texas – everyone knows that. It’s true of RVs, too. Texans love recreational vehicles, especially the larger models. It was evident when I frequented a few of the RV consignment Texas lots. There were a LOT of options. I felt that my RV was simply going to get lost in the jumble.

That’s when I stumbled upon SellMyRVToday.com. As soon as I read that you buy RVs outright within a few days, I was sold. I made contact and sold my RV. You already know that though because you bought it and even picked it up from my house. It was fast and it was easy and I got my funds by certified check. It was so simple that people don’t believe me that I already sold my motorhome. The neighbors think I’m playing a joke on them. (That could have something to do with the fact that I did once sneak it into their backyard in the night so that they would wake up to it outside their bedroom window the next morning). We do things like that. I guess they’ll eventually have to accept the fact that I’m not trying to pull anything over on them, but that I actually did sell my RV in less than a week.

Thanks for all your help!

Sincerely,

James R. Cook

James is just one happy camper amongst hundreds who deal with us. We love sharing user stories on the blog here at SellMyRVToday.com. We appreciate the uniqueness of each of our customers and we were glad to hear from James. Do you have a story to share? Send it in. We’d love to read it…and we just might post it, too.

RV Consignment, Houston Girl

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

This email recently came in from a previous SellMyRVToday.com customer that identified herself as RV Consignment, Houston Girl. Read on for her take on the comparison between consignment RV options in Houston and the SellMyRVToday.com process.

Dear SellMyRVToday.com,

I sold my RV! I’m so excited that I can’t even put it into words. I loved that the SellMyRVToday.com guys handled this in less than a week. Why am I so excited about this entire deal? Here’s why:

Before I called SellMyRVToday.com I tried selling my RV on my own. First I tried just throwing a sign up in the window. I had a lot of interest and thought it was going great for about a week. Then I realized that the people coming to see my RV were simply jumping on the chance to check out a recreational vehicle of that particular size and shape, see how well it holds up to use, and consider the various wear and tear issues that can occur. They never even acted that interested in purchasing it. They did, however, want me to meet them at the storage yard, open the vehicle, hang out while they chatted and walked through it a million times and then asked for a test drive. It was more than annoying.

I quickly decided that selling by owner wasn’t going to work for me.

Next I tried the RV consignment route. Houston has a lot of RV consignment lots and let me tell you…throughout the course of my RV selling career I’ve tried a good-sized handful of them. It was time consuming and tedious. It was better than selling by owner, but I needed to sell my RV and it just wasn’t happening. It was on the lots for months without any really serious interest.

Then I heard about your company. I contacted SellMyRVToday.com and within 4 days my RV was gone. I had certified funds in my hands and the RV selling debacle was over. It’s just too bad I didn’t call SellMyRVToday.com first. That would have been a much smarter move. Just call me RV Consignment Houston Girl. I’ve earned the title.

Thanks,

Lisa (aka RV Consignment Houston Girl)

Houston RV Consignment

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

Houston offers its fair share of RV consignment lots and options. Many RV owners looking to sell, choose to go the “consignment” route. It’s a pretty good route when it comes to RV sales. It offers individual owners the chance to drastically increase the exposure of their RV for sale. It also offers the assistance of experienced sales professionals that can ensure that the paperwork that goes along with a typical RV sale is handled appropriately. Houston RV consignment is definitely better than selling by owner, but what’s better than consignment?

The best method is to call a reputable, experienced company that is waiting to purchase your RV outright. You heard me correctly. At Sell My RV Today we don’t just have experience aiding buyers in selling their vehicles, we are extensively experienced in actually purchasing RVs. You simply get in touch and advise us that you have a recreational vehicle that you’d like to sell. Rather than attempt to sell it on a consignment basis (which can take months or longer), we just buy your RV. We’re interested in buying any model 2002 or newer (except trailers). We pay you in certified funds and pickup your vehicle from your desired location (anywhere in the USA or Canada). We handle all the title paperwork and bank payoffs as necessary.

You want instant cash for your RV? Of course you do. Who wouldn’t want it to be that easy? Well, that’s what we’re all about. You’re welcome to look into other Houston RV consignment options. There are some great ones if that’s the route you decide to use for your RV sale, but it’s not as quick and hassle free as the instant purchase of your recreational vehicle through SellMyRVToday.com. With us, your RV will be sold and your transaction completed within 1-3 days in most cases. That’s what we do and we’re good at it. Get in touch today and we’ll confirm just how easy it is to get cash immediately for your RV.
